Stuff and Things

I am a percussionist. That means I spend a good chunk of my time hitting things. Sometimes I use sticks, sometimes I hit things against other things, sometimes I just use my hands.

This won't be a "percussion blog," but it will be colored by my experiences as a percussionist. I hope you enjoy it.

This is the 1st Mov’t of Dan Welcher’s new percussion quartet “You Can Fool….”. Written during the recent election it’s all about short term delusion, and political manipulation of the public. This work was commissioned by UT Percussion students Philip Welder and Matt Teodori. They are joined by Adam Bedell and Steve Martin.
