alldirections: I love that he can’t spell his own fake name right. Furthermore, his fake name doesn’t even mean “eighty-five” in Spanish.  It means “eight five,” making it stupid in two languages.

Steve Reich’s Pulitzer Award gets a mention on The Colbert Report.  Despite it’s brevity and the mispronounciation of Mr. Reich’s last name, it’s nice to know he’s on the pop culture radar.

myminutiae: Here’s a collection of Amazon one-star reviews on classic lit/music/movies. It’s a good way to burn 20 minutes. On To Kill a Mockingbird: “This book is the worst book in the world. I read half way through the book and gave up because it made no sence” This is hilarious, although I suspect several of them are jokes (does anyone really like Metallica’s St. Anger?).
